Aeshia is a passionate, self-funded entrepreneur who built PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT and its nonprofit arm, SWEAT MAKES CENTS, through determination and discipline. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Aeshia graduated from Middle Tennessee State University and spent 10 years in the TV industry, producing award-winning programs like Iconoclasts and working with ABC and RadicalMedia.
She has partnered with brands like Nike and contributed to First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. A former high school athlete and proud Alpha Kappa Alpha member, she’s now a devoted wife of 20 years and mom to three loving daughters.

They came together to create BROWN GIRL Jane, an initiative designed to create products, and a community, that helps bring balance and healing to the body, mind and spirit for women of color. Their goal is to encourage women to maintain a wellness routine to help heal and better themselves, from the inside out. Aeshia DeVore Branch is in the business of making fitness fun. As a new mom, she was mystified to learn how childhood obesity disproportionately affects minority communities.In her free time, she supports girls' basketball, enjoys inspirational content, and shares great meals with friends.

Dawn Reese is an accomplished media and fashion sales executive with over 20 years of experience. While working in New York City, she made it her priority to mentor young women who wanted a career in the high gloss world of fashion magazines.
The lack of diversity in the magazine world fueled her desire to be a part of SWEAT MAKES CENTS and showcase to young women all of the opportunities available in the industry beyond just the models in the pages. In her spare time, the wife and mother, enjoys spin class, traveling, vintage and home décor shopping and playing sports with her young son.
Dawn Reese is a graduate of Hampton University.

Passionate about empowering communities through health, education, and wellness, she combines her athletic discipline and professional expertise to create impactful experiences that inspire change.
A mentor and role model, Kinisha is dedicated to uplifting others and driving meaningful transformation in every project she undertakes.

So PGS, over a decade, has perfected the art of making fitness and healthy eating easy and enjoyable — to help women get fit and love it for their entire life. For example, in , over 1, women paid to attend the annual PGS fest , with many flying in from other cities.They’re like the behind-the-scenes brains of our operation, providing advice, support, funding, and—most importantly—their time to help us achieve our goals. We connect with them quarterly and always have a ton of fun doing it!
