Helwig’s work has been included in group exhibitions at the Haus der Photographie, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Athens Photography Festival APhF 18 and at GFMF, Berlin.
She has received awards from D&AD, the Lead Awards for editorial photography in and , was nominated for an ICP Infinity award in and received the Anamorphosis Prize for Propaganda in Kriegskinder was nominated for the Prix Pictet Award in Her editorial work has appeared regularly in publications including iD, The Face, Zeit Magazin, FAZ, The Guardian, New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Le Monde, Vogue, and independent magazines.
